Seafarer Rights & Employment Agreements

All seafarers placed through Surge Crew are entitled to:

  • No fees or charges for recruitment or placement
  • The opportunity to review and receive a copy of their Seafarer Employment Agreement (SEA) before joining
  • Clear information regarding their rights and responsibilities under their employment agreement
  • A fair and transparent recruitment process
  • The ability to raise a complaint without fear of disadvantage
  • Protection from blacklisting or any restriction that would prevent them from gaining future employment

Before joining a vessel, you should be provided with a Seafarer Employment Agreement (SEA) outlining the key terms of your employment, including salary, leave, repatriation, and notice.
